“What a Difference a Day Makes!”

From sunshine and skinny river flows to dark skies, showers, intermittent heavy rain, river flows on the way up and, oh, ice crystals periodically peppering the McKay guys as they fly fished for steelhead and Chinook salmon, today reminded us that it’s fall on Michigan’s Muskegon River. Fortunately, though, the sun popped out occasionally giving us some welcome breaks from the wet stuff and glimpses of the fall color gracing the river valley. Of course, the salmon loved the weather so, as in the two previous days, the McKay group with us three RiverQuest guides had plenty of salmon fishing action. Here are Rusty and Brad with a couple samples of the great times had by all.
