I don’t think Mother Nature understands a gentle progression of one season to the next. Last week we were easing along toward summer and bam, 85 degrees weather rolls in and we jump to mid July! Needless say, we went from having a few drakes and caddis last week to now full tilt gray drake and sulpher spinner falls of epic proportions. Who knows what next week will bring, but for now it’s a blizzard of mayfies!

Since the spinner falls have been so heavy in the evening the AM time coffee-time program has been pretty solid for targeting individual feeders. Most mornings the spinner falls have lasted until nearly 11am, with the exception of today it wrapped up about 9:30 due to the very warm overnight temperatures.

Get after it, who knows whats in store in the coming weeks!
