The unofficial end to summer

It’s pretty hard to believe that the last weekend (unofficial) of summer is upon us. The past few cool nights have started to drop our water temperature into the upper 60’s which is good news for our resident trout. Smallmouth bass remain the main focus over the next week or at least until we drop below about 68 degrees consistently on the river. This week is traditionally a slower week for us as most people are focused on their families returning to school.

A few salmon are around, but numbers wont be fishable for another few weeks. Pictured is Tom with a great smallmouth with Capt. Don.

Have a safe and relaxing holiday weekend!
