Still transitioning

Last weeks warm weather has slowed our turn toward fall. The overall mood of the trout, smallmouth, and salmon has been off all week. Thankfully the trout were moderately accommodating yesterday before the big winds kicked up. The water temperature on the Muskegon is on its way back down (67) and I suspect things will get back too normal soon (hopefully)!

Bwo’s and caddis have had a few trout looking up and provided small windows for dry fly fishing. Swing for trout has been good prior to the warm up. Yesterday the swing was decent and resulted in some very pretty trout making it to net.

Salmon are in the pools, but overall slow due to the warm water.
