Pushbacks – Muskegon River Spring Steelhead

Muskegon River Spring Steelhead

Winter weather has returned to West Michigan and has caused a push back for Muskegon River Spring Steelhead. While this isn’t ideal and hardly our favorite, these pushbacks in weather are incredibly common as the Spring weather slowly rolls in and begins to win the battle of sending Ol’ Man winter packing back to the far North.

On the Muskegon River, Spring steelhead continue to arrive and slowly build in numbers over the colorful fall and winter Steelhead and Trout currently in the water system.

Pictured is Aaron with a brilliantly colored buck from yesterday’s fly fishing on the Muskegon River.
