PB & Trout Spey

A smorgasbord of opportunities are available on the Muskegon River right now. Streamers, nymphs, and wet flies are all producing. The only missing opportunity remains dry fly fishing. Hopefully as the Isonychia get going we can salvage some surface fishing.

After streamer fishing early today we switched to wet flies & trout Spey rods. Shortly after catching some average fish Ben knew he had a good trout hooked. After a few tense moments around the boat and some river rocks Ben landed this truly magnificent Muskegon River brown trout. This brown is not only his personal best on the two-handler, but definitely the best river trout I’ve had the privilege of netting for a trout Spey fisherman. What a memory!
