Friends Mark and Larry joined me on this veteran’s day to try their hand at swinging for steelhead. The morning, though a bit soggy, provided the opportunity for Mark to land his first steelhead on a spey rod. After lunch Old Man Winter put his first shot across the bow providing us with some blowing snow and generally ugly weather. The guys stuck with it and and enjoyed their time together. Black/purple and Rainbow were the colors of choice providing the action. The fish are starting to move to their winter areas so heavier lines will be the order of the day from here on out.
