Mark and Tricia joined me today for the first of two days swinging for steelhead. When some of my friends said I was crazy for working, and they were crazy for fishing on Dec 30 & 31 especially taking into account the weather forecast I replied, “I can’t think of a better way to end the year”. The pics of Mark and Tricia, both first timers, should remove all doubt that if you are willing to brave the weather there can be some very special rewards for doing so. Slowly working through the normal winter haunts, while presenting offerings in purple and pink provided the action today. With the temps looking to head a little further down the scale for the final day of 2013 they would like nothing more than to have a repeat performance. Congrats to both of you on your first steel and on the swing – you couldn’t ask for a better end to the year!
