As we head in to the unofficial end of summer–Labor Day weekend, I look forward to the unofficial start of fall. Late summer fishing continues with smallmouth bass eager to grab a streamer or a surface popper. Salmon fishing has begun in the lower end of the rivers thanks to the last couple weeks of cool weather. Big streamers, heavy sink tips, and a little luck can provide one of hardest fights of your life. Steelhead on the swing is getting closer every day!
