Don, Steve and I hosted the Crandell group that came down from the Traverse City area to experience the MO today. While the pictures show some of the successes from today it was not without a lot of hard work! Low clear water (It dropped to 900 cfs today), bluebird bright skies, and rising water temps had the salmon on full alert. Surprisingly, all the boats also hooked a number of smallies with one being a very nice specimen, making this feel more like a summer day than an early fall salmon trip. Hard work aside there are good numbers of fish in the system and it should only get better from here, a return to more fall like weather patterns would be helpful.
