“It’s So Beautiful!”

Good friend and first time fly fisher Lynn just kept repeating this phrase over and over again as she and her husband Steve marveled at the fall splendor and grandeur of the Muskegon River. Temps in the high 70’s, the lightest brush of a breeze, and rolling Chinook salmon marked the day: “Look there! Did you see that? Oh, my gosh! I love it!” And so it was with action the best in the morning but pretty much drying up after lunch due in large part, no doubt, to the bright, blue bird skies.  Since Lynn and Steve wanted a tour of our Orvis endorsed Muskegon River Lodge, off we went to snoop it out. Oh, and did I mention that Lynn’s first fly rod caught fish brought to hand on this her first day of fly fishing ever pulled the Boga at 24 lbs?  The result?  Two new converts to fly fishing. In short, a superb day with two wonderful people.
