Good day for swinging flies for Spring Steelhead

swinging flies for spring steelhead

Sunny skies and light winds made for a pleasant backdrop to swinging flies for spring steelhead on the Muskegon River today. Not really your ideal weather in Michigan to be swinging flies for spring steelhead, but a good day for a swing none the less. Thankfully the steelhead were as cheerful as our surroundings too.  It definitely turned into an exceptional day with my favorite two-hander and a great time was had. Pictured are a couple of nice spring hens from today.
