Fly Fish -Day to Remember!

Talk about making memories! Son Ryan invited his neighbor and buddy Brandon along with Brandon’s dad to fly fish the Muskegon River with me yesterday, and what a day it was! RiverQuest Charters is not about numbers. To fly fish is way more than simply “How many did you catch?” That said, yesterday was a glimpse of what the Muskegon River steelhead fishery can be when all the stars align.  It was an action packed day — literally all day!

For Brandon and his dad, it was their first steelhead and first, then, on a fly rod and fly.  Avid outdoorsmen both, they learned quickly and were rewarded big time. No doubt, like the fish they fought; they are hooked.

We’re witnessing more bright fish showing up over the last couple of days. Here’s hoping more are to come.

Thanks guys for a terrific day; I’ll remember this one for a long, long time!
