Where did September go?

Down right chilly the past couple days—certainly feels more like October than September. We are definately in the midst of transition on the Mo’. Water temperatures are dropping nicely, though the trout remain in there late summer hideouts. Smallmouth and Pike continue to provide quality opportunites. Big streamers are the ticket. A fair number of early salmon are here and there, but nowhere specifically. I’d guess another week of cool weather and rain should get us in the mode. I did see my first fall steelhead coursing a tailout–yes, it got my attention! Fall is near, we just need another week or so for it to fully arrive. For now, we’re content to chase bronze. Pictured is Dave with a nice morning smallie and a quick shot from Toren.
