Michigan State University sophomore, Grant, had never cast a fly rod for steelhead so today was his first gig. And what a performance it was! Grant flat-out ran a clinic on casting, fish fighting, and landing steelhead, after steelhead, after steelhead. His uncle, Jeff, a long time customer, friend, and nephew Grant’s host was thrilled, as was yours truly. Grant is now infected with “Steelhead on the Long Rod,” and Jeff and I couldn’t be happier. Super work, Grant! Now back to the books, and, oh, “Go Spartans!”
