It’s September!

Dave and I just wrapped up four days with the Beeton’s. Over the course of their trip we fished way up & way down our beloved river chasing late summer smallmouth. I’m really not surprised that as we ushered August out and the kids back to school it’s with some fabulous summer weather (it been missing most of the summer as you well know). Fall weather is coming…

Conditions are still very much late summer. Water temps are right at 70 degrees. Good trout fishing is in the very near future–a couple degrees of water temp drop and it should really fish well. Cahills, caddis, and ants are getting noticed.

Smallmouth have started to gorge in anticipation of fall–get after them while the weathers still nice!
