First’s

The Muskegon River remains extremely low. This is the first time in my 26 years of guiding that I’ve ever seen it this low in the spring. The historical data does show a similar low flow back in the early 2000’s, but I’d argue that gauge has been re-tooled several times since making this a first!

The Kehl group joined us the last few days and I think through the years they’ve now seen just about everything this river can produce. Thankfully they took it in stride and made the most of it. Speaking of first’s, Pat (new to the group) poses his very first steelhead. Congratulations Pat!
