Finally felt like steelhead weather today on the Muskegon River. Cold northerly winds ran the river valley today making for some tricky casting at times for Brian and Tom. We had to work for our opportunities today swinging flies as the water climbed slightly in flow by midday. Tom overcame a complete Chinese fire-drill as this terrific buck steelhead that made cart-wheeling circles around all sides of the boat before finally being guided into the net. Congratulations Tom. Quite a memory for your first steelhead on the swing.
