Chamber of Commerce Day

Longtime customer and friend, Jeff, joined me for a fall steelhead and Chinook salmon float trip today. Although the steelhead were shy, the salmon were present in abundance. With bluebird skies, light air, temperatures in the high sixties, and fall color popping, it was a perfect day to experience the best Mother Nature has to offer on Michigan’s Muskegon River. Jeff loves to witness the spectacle of spawning salmon, as well as probe the dark water below their reads for steelhead and salmon. Great conversation, shared trail camera pics of target whitetails, and rods bent throughout the day made for a most memorable day on the water. Here Jeff poses a buck Chinook typical of those he encountered.
