Mid December – February
Don’t rule out winter steelhead fishing. All it takes are temperatures in the 20’s, sunshine, and low wind, and you’ll have a comfortable day on the water. Solitude, banks clothed in white, and hard, chrome steelhead await. We guides love the entire experience and make it our own all winter long. The steelhead hold in deep, dark runs and pools so deep nymphing is the method of choice. Thoroughly working water deep and slow yields gorgeous steelhead when most fishermen are cooped up, thinking they can’t get out on the river until spring. Not the case at all. The trout are there waiting; it just takes the right weather to make it happen. For your convenience and assurance of a pleasant day on the river, we welcome and encourage short notice bookings; watch the weather and make the call. It’s as easy as that.
