Mid December – Early March
Solitude, banks clothed in white, and hard, chrome steelhead await. Winter steelhead fishing isn’t the easiest fly fishing around, but with very little angler pressure and unsurpassed scenery its pretty fantastic. Two-handed rods allow us to quickly swing the prime water as we search for steelhead. Sculpin, Golby, and bait fish patterns are key to this season. We guides love the entire experience and make it our own all winter long when we aren’t sharing it with you.
Deep nymphing and indicator nymphing is readily available for the single-handed angler too during this time of year.
Winter resident trout fishing should not be overlooked during the winter months. In fact, some of our best “numbers days” for trout fishing occur during this wonderful time of year!
For your convenience and assurance of a pleasant day on the river, we welcome and encourage short notice bookings; watch the weather and make the call. It’s as easy as that.
