The warm summer weather has kept the early September fishing very well for river smallmouth. Poppers and streamers have both worked well day to day. The low-humid skies provided an excellent backdrop for today’s streamer bite. Some really nice bass as well as some exceptional pike were eager to play.
Fall like weather is on the horizon, transition time is near.
