Matt & Jay joined me today for the first of their groups two day get away. This was Matt’s first time with a Spey rod and he took to it like a true champion. I just wish he would have been rewarded for the casts he was laying out, but alas, he had to settle for just a quick hit and run today. Hopefully he can seal the deal tomorrow. Jay, on the other hand fell in love with his new line set up and brought the fish below to hand. With one more day I hoping and praying that the weather forecasters are wrong and we don’t get the high winds.
