Tim Hoyt & Jason Hovingh were my guests today on the Manistee. The day was, according to Tim, supposed to be all about Jason. Jason and his family are nearing the end of their furlough from the mission field in Kenya and wanted to enjoy as much of our beautiful state as possible. On a beautiful day Jason was rewarded with the nice fish above. We thought we had the RQ record for big fish to date in the bag at a bit over 19 lbs. Our record was short lived when Steve’s boat landed their 21 pounder. Even so, it was a great day on the water with still minimal traffic and the fish starting to cooperate a bit more.
