“Huge” water greated us this morning on the Muskegon after yesterdays major soaking. When I left the  yesterday it was holding around 4100cfs and with 2 inches of fresh rain made a pretty amazing jump over-night to 6100cfs! To say the river was “smoking” would be an understatement!

Bill and Glen from Hayworth Corp joined me today for a challenging but very rewarding day on the river. Large estez stone flies and orange estez caddis brought most of the action. Both Glen and Bill had not fished the river before today for chrome and were very good students! Here are the guys with a couple from today.

Every once in a while I can lay down my guard and admit when I make a mistake and yesterday I found myself in a situation being over booked going into today. A few phone calls later I was able to contact and book Matt Zudweg of Feenstra Guide Service. Matt is an outstanding guide, instructor and gentleman; he will no doubt have along road ahead of himself in the guiding industry. Thanks Matt for your hard work for a competing business and hopefully we can work together again!
