Great time on the water today with fellow Fairhaven Ministries Elder, Rog, and his son, Scott. Action was steady throughout the day with double digit hookups and numerous steelhead landed. The steelhead are eager to finish their spawning chores; they worked gravel hard, even in the huge 6,000 cfs chocolate flow we had today. Best flies were chartreuse caddis, stone flies, Antron Hex, and Crossdresser Hex. For Rog and Scott, the experience was an eye-opener; even with some of the fish frankly tired from chasing love, the steelhead ripped line from the reels with our chasing them in hot pursuit with the boat. All in all, a great time with two fine men. Thanks, Rog and Scott, for a most enjoyable and memorable day!
