Great times with the MRO guys for the last two days.  With a less than stellar bite, to be sure, along with 20+ mph winds and snow squalls, the guys hung in there and were rewarded with steelhead brought to hand.  We guides respect guys who understand fishing is more than numbers, more than biggest/heaviest, and so on.  They love the out-of-doors, respect the incredible resource the MO is, and value days on the water that include an appreciation for the fishery no matter how adverse the conditions.  What a joy to guide men who have it so right.

Here Don holds and releases a buck that soon will be competing for the favor of lady fair.  Steelhead are beginning stage for spawning so grab a rod and drift your favorite beat.  If the warm weather forecast from now on does, in fact, occur, we could be saying goodby to the snow that has so beautifully accented the river.  Most important, as late as the steelhead run is this year, when it comes in its fullest in these next weeks, we should have quite a show.
