Once again I had the pleasure of my youngest son Ryan’s company for a few hours on the river. The fish gods cooperated despite some very low, clear water in the upper Muskegon. Ryan lost a steelhead which shot up river so fast, Ryan never got a good hook set into it. Fortuanately, the walleyes were cooperating with a couple hookups and one 7 lb. fish put into the net. Not to be outdone, Gramps weighed in with a gorgeous male steelhead, that pulled the Boga to the 11 lb. mark. Every fish took stone flies today. All in all, a beautiful day on the river with just enough action to make the day memory for father and son.
