Jim & Don joined me today for a day of fall fishing. The water has dropped a bit from the weekend and is significantly clearer as well. Aside from a good number of boats early this morning, once everyone got spread out the pressure wasn’t too bad compared to what it has been. While both are experienced fisherman, neither has ever swung flies. The morning hours started slowly but just before our lunch break Don put it all together and landed a beautiful fish and is now officially addicted to swing for chrome. Another nice fish in the afternoon pretty much sealed the deal and both he and Jim are putting Spey rods on their to buy lists. Congratulations Don on a fine job working through the learning curve and bringing your first steelhead on the fat lines to hand.
