Optimal but not easy

Optimal water conditions are the sing-song of the day however one would think that they would equal “numbers” of fish in the net. This has not played out in my boat, we have had to fish very hard and thoroughly in order to find fish that want to smile for the camera; some trust worthy captains are reporting”numbers” in the net that one would expect with the great conditions.

Cliff Fox of Illinois joined me today for a much needed respite from the big city corporate life. Last years extremely low clear water was not kind to Cliff on his trip but this years optimal conditions proved favorable to capturing a few smiling posses of chrome. Clown eggs and leech patterns are getting it done for me.
