Sorry Bill

Bill and Tara of the Chicago area joined me today for a fantastic day of fall steelhead fishing. Finally the winds laid down to a more manageable but brisk speed. Water levels remained low and clear today but who knows, that could change tomorrow. Tara put on quite a show for Bill and I with several beautiful steelhead that were as much at home in sky as they melting her fly line on the way to the depths. Hopefully Bill can redeem himself tomorrow. The low clear flows are perfect for the swing- gunmetal green and copper, along with black and purple are getting the most of the pulls. Nymphing small pale eggs is consistently bending the rod in the classic fall holds. Pictured is Tara with a couple of her fish.
