A little slow getting the post up from yesterday. After a long stretch of days on the river it was nice to just take a bit of time to chill with the family. Joe & Cole joined me for a beautiful fall day for some steelhead fishing. even with the busy weekend traffic we found a nice quiet section of river that was willing to give up some of her fall bounty. After a week of high winds, rain and the usual fall weather we had a beautiful day to enjoy all that is wonderful about being on the water spending time with friends. Both guys managed to land some beautiful fish.
The salmon run appears to be winding down so the opportunities for fish on swung flies is improving every day as the egg buffet begins to taper off. After the rains this week the water is still a bit dirty but should have a very nice color to it throughout the coming week.
