I think we might walk back

Joining the RiverQuest crew today was the John Gary party. Capts Don, Tom and myself hosted the group today and again tomorrow. With the weekend traffic behind us it was a peaceful day until the operator of the dam decided to kill the flow. While day-to-day differences can be noticed, today’s flow went from 1200cfs at 7am to 806 cfs at noon.  I actually wasn’t sure if I was going to be able to get upstream. It was white knuckle time as I headed up fearing that if the river continued to drop we would be in trouble. By 2pm the river was back to 1200 cfs and currently has jumped to 1480 cfs at 8pm. I think the “run of the river” is being seriously stretched today!
