What a wonderful three days it has been with the McKay group! Everybody connected with Kings with first-timer Charlie edging Muskegon regular Boyd for “Most Fish Landed” honors. Congrats, Charlie! Mike took Steelhead honors with a 10 lb. chromer, and today Ray fooled a 26″ river brown. Toss in some rainbows, and you have a snapshot of the group’s good times on the river. All of us guides who had the privilege of hosting the guys enjoyed their enthusiasm for our fishery and the fellowship they foster among themselves, year-to-year. Rusty and Boyd spent today with me and did a great job with both C & D and Spey rod indicator rigs. Rusty was new to the Spey rod, but he got the cast and drift down within minutes, precisely what one would expect from a guy who fishes with Boyd in places as varied as Costa Rica, Missouri, and the Pacific Northwest. Pictured is Boyd with one the bucks he boated and Rusty with one of his hens.

Thanks much, guys! We look forward to seeing you next year, and best wishes for continued success in your various endeavors.
