Fred and I hosted the Henneveld group today; I had Dan and his CAD and fabrication expert, Brett, in my boat. Anticipating a wet day with high winds, I was delighted with another superb Michigan October day. Both Fred and I concentrated on fishing shaded or darker water, and our fishermen were rewarded with hookups throughout the day. Some of the hens had yet to spawn, though numerous males were well down the spawning road. The chartreuse nuke egg fly stood out with one particular male absolutely slamming it. All in all, lots of fun, and for Brett who fishes from a wheelchair, no problem at all. He cast, managed line, and fought fish with a passion, and kick-started our day with the first hookup of the day. Great job, guys! Thanks much for a most enjoyable day! Pictured are Brett and Dan with a couple of the fish they boated today.
