Dan and Dan joined me today on another in the string of unseasonably nice days. While the kids fished with Steve, us old guys had to try and hold our own. Both Dan’s managed to bring some very nice chrome bullets to hand showing the kids they still had it. The bite today was all about egg patterns. Despite throwing many different offerings, with the buffet officially open behind the salmon redds, nothing but eggs even got a look. I am very excited by the numbers of eager steelhead in the system right now, but remember this is fishing, things could change at any given moment. But for now, until these fish get educated they sure make for a great day on the river.
