Once again, Harold retains the RiverQuest “Most Veteran Client” award! Moreover, at 92 years of age, Harold’s honors are likely safe for some time to come. I can only hope that not only do I live as long and as well as Harold, but that I possess even half the passion he still holds for fishing. “I’ve looked forward to this trip all summer!” he exclaimed on the way to the river. You’ve got to love it! So, today was another milestone and memory for Harold and son-in-law John.
We concentrated on steelhead and connected numerous times, only to say a quick “Goodbye!” to most. John, though, brought one to hand, validating the determined effort the guys put into hooking silver bullets. Of course, some Kings came to hand, too; pictured is yours truly with Harold, John with a King, and John with his steelhead.
Thanks, Harold and John, for a great day—one I’ll remember for a long, long time.
