10-4-11

One would be hard pressed to script a more perfect day of fall Chinook fly fishing: spectacular weather, freshly arrived happy Kings,  zip fishing pressure, and great company.  Dave and Tom, long time colleagues in my past professional life and good friends forever, hooked any number of fish, put a good number in the boat, and in general had a blast fishing C&D and indicator-rigged switch rods.  The Muskegon is now set up for an excellent season of salmon fishing, were it not for concerns about the water level, which dropped significantly today.  Here’s hoping it doesn’t sink any lower.  For now, though, fly fishing prospects are promising.

Thanks, Dave and Tom! Fabulous day with two dear buddies.
