Fall weather will barrel into Michigan this week as seasonal weather finally makes an arrival. We have been stuck with beach weather for most of the month. Salmon should finally fill the voids in most of the river systems around the state.

Jeff Segard and his brother Brian and father Harry joined me Saturday for some great Manistee River salmon action. Both Brian and Harry had never really experienced a “big” day of salmon fishing. This has since been erased off their lists of fly fishing accomplishments. Green caddis and oregon cheese eggs seemed to be the choice flies of the day. Picture are the guys with a few from the trip.
