Captain Dave and myself hosted Bill Lettinga and friends Charlie, Bob, and Bob’s son Evan today on the river. Fishing this morning was again challenging as salmon are really wanting to explore the shallows. After the sun lights the sky fish quickly make their way back to the shadows. Shadow water on the Manistee can be expensive to fish but clean runs can be found. Bill took top honors with the friendly wager amongst his buddies…I’m sure he is relishing his victory proudly with his new prize of C.C.
