Pretty Good!

Sunny skies continue to keep the skin tan while the salmon are seeking the shaded pools. Jeff Segard and his father Harvey joined me yesterday for beautiful day of salmon fishing on the Manistee River. The salmon were very cooperative for the Segard family as it has played out so many times before. Harvey had the epic battle of season thus far that eclipsed 25 minutes and fell short of the net as the giant fish found shelter beneath a massive tree. While we can only speculate the size and weight of the fish it will be forever etched in our minds. Back again today was Don Vroon and his 15yr old son Jake. Salmon fishing was a bit slower than yesterday but  overall lots of opportunities were won and lost. I certainly look forward to fishing with Jake again as he was a pleasure to have on the boat!
