If you were wondering if all the rumors were true regarding the average size of the returning salmon this year, the pictures speak for themselves! Yes, the fish are big and going to be pretty hard on our gear. There are some smaller salmon mixed in, but overall the fish are larger than we’ve seen in many years. Coho numbers are surprisingly high this year too! What does this mean in the scheme of things? The 2011 fall run is going to be fun and likely featuring a few broken rods along the way!
