After receiving much needed rain two days ago the salmon numbers have increased dramatically. However the catch rates have not yet caught up with the numbers of fish. It would seem (my opinion) that the fish are slow to respond in the still warm river water. The flow on the Manistee has since started to fall and water temperatures are slowly following suit. Thanks to Nathan Perry from Denver on Friday and Kevin Horning and his family Saturday for joining me for some long days on the water stripping streamers for kings. Pictured is Kevin with a nice female.
