With steelhead fishing continuing to be the focus for another week or so the Muskegon River trout fishing is knocking at our doors. Streamers and dry flies will soon be our mainstay as we head into the later part of the month. Water flows with weekly rains are in very good shape and temps are holding in the mid-fifties. A few stone flies continue to hatch but the river’s active entomology is transitioning to caddis and mayfly’s.

New for RiverQuest Charters this season is our 1/2 day evening hatch special. These trips will be offered for the remainder of the month through June. Start times will be around 5:30-6pm and conclude after dusk. light refreshments are included. This will be available for $250. Full day streamer and dry fly trips will continue to be booked for $395 with dinner for the duration of the season.

Summer Atlantic salmon dates are nearly full so don’t delay if you are thinking about booking a day. Skamaina steelhead trips on the St. Joe and Manistee Rivers are also available but limited. Smallmouth bass season looks to be better than ever as these magnificent fighters continue to grow very fat and happy in our fertile waters.
