Happy Mothers Day!

Hard to believe that Mothers Day has arrived already especially if you look at the numbers of fish the Mo’ has been putting out lately! Bill Sidor joined me Friday for a very beautiful and sunny day on the water. We spent the early part of the day swinging fat lines and tips for drop backs. While three good “rips” were had nothing was held. Switching to gravel glides by mid-morning provided quick action and some really nice fish! Lime green caddis and small black fuzz busters brought many opportunities. Waters are again clear with a hint of tea. Trout were feeding actively adult black stone flies though most of the surface activity was by smaller trout. Water temperatures are now 55 degrees and the streamer trout fishing should improve once the availability of caviar starts to diminish in a couple weeks. If we could keep this flow of 3400cfs for the remainder of spring/early summer most of us would get our Christmas wishes! Pictured is Bill with a couple from Friday.
