With a fast approaching winter storm and a barometer that was headed South in a hurry, a river relatively high and dirty–cards were significantly stacked against us. Joining JD would be his long time friend Eddie who was brand new to steelhead fly fishing. Eddie took quickly to the art of deep water nymphing and with a bit of luck would beat the odds that were mounting in front of us. Our second stop of the morning provided Eddie his chance–after a several long runs and a couple close calls, Eddie joined the ranks of a successful steelhead fly fisherman. Nice job Eddie!
